There are three main seasons in India viz. summer, rainy, and winter. Summer is called the pre-monsoon season which starts in February and ends in May. This is the hottest season in which different fairs and meals are held. Farmers do the plowing work and get ready for the monsoon. Monsoon is the second season in India going from June through September. The climate is cloudy and wet everywhere. People celebrate different festivals like Gauri and Ganesh Chaturthi. Farmers sow their seed and wait for the harvest. Winter is the third season which sets in around the month of October and ends in January. This is the coldest season, therefore, people wear warm clothes. People celebrate Diwali and Dussehra this season. Farmers get their harvest and sow the seeds.
